The Meigs County Museum is owned and operated by the Meigs County Historical Society.
Open hours are Monday through Friday - 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Closed the week of the Meigs County Fair - August 16 - 21, 2010 and all Federal Holidays. Maybe closed due to inclement weather or other emergencies. All hours are current as of April 19, 2010.
Mission Statement
The Meigs County Pioneer and Historical Society, aka the Meigs County Historical Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 and exists to further historical education in Meigs County, Ohio. To this end it maintains a museum for collecting, preserving and interpreting archival materials and artifacts indigenous to Meigs County; encourages historical research; issues publications; sponsors displays, symposia and special events; is concerned with the preservation of historical buildings and sites, and raise's such funds needed to carry on the day-to-day operations and purposes of the society.
